Project Name

Putney Hill

Our clients for this project asked inkarchitects to design a large extension for their locally listed Victorian Villa in the West Hill Road Conservation Area, Putney.

The brief required the restructuring of the rear of the building to create a sense of scale and space at garden level and opens the building into the garden. The extension features tall doors with arched sash windows in the style of John Nash’s Neo-Classical Architecture. The large windows increase light to the interior space while the design complements and enhances the historic character of the property.

This project presented a number of structural challenges to be overcome in order to create the spacious living area. The result is a union of neo-classical and contemporary architecture. The resulting space is both beautiful and light, and provides our clients with a spacious family room.
